How it decides
The verdict comes from fixed rules, so the same label text always gives the same result. Each hit shows its risk level and a plain reason, with sources where they apply.

Hard-to-read labels
Small print, curved bottles and low light cause reading errors. IngrediScan corrects the common ones: swapped letters, split or merged words, cut-off edges, and garbled "may contain" text and E / CI codes. It reads labels in 21 Latin-script languages and shows ingredient names in your language.
Privacy
The camera only reads the label. Camera frames are never saved or sent. Saved analyses, with optional photos and barcode, stay on your device. You can delete them at any time or export everything to one ZIP file.

The assessment is for information only. It does not replace the manufacturer's label or advice from a doctor or vet. Text recognition (OCR) can miss part of a label, so an empty result does not mean the product is safe.
